     relationship. The book both humanizes gay issues for straight readers

     and gives gay readers a rare, honest reflection on their own lives.

 

 

  The Shared Heart: Portraits and Stories Celebrating Lesbian, Gay,

  and Bisexual Young People

  characters are well-developed and strong while the male characters are

  stupid and shallow. Full of violence and passion, these well-known stories

  are far different than the Disney versions.
